FAST!!! Review: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is the fifth installment in Bethesda’s long running series of open world fantasy RPGS.

It’s set in the harsh northern province of Skyrim where a civil war has broken out between the native Nords and the Imperial Legion, who currently have control of the land.

You start the game riding in a wagon to your execution, for trying to cross the border. Then as your about to loose you head, dragons attack and indirectly save you. After escaping the town, the game completely opens up.

The main story involves you being the “Dragonborn”,

which basically means you are the all mighty chosen one to save the world. And it means you can speak words from the ancient dragon language and use them as abilities.

You can develop your character in any why you want, your not limited to old school RPG roles or classes. The more you do something, the better you will become at it. Its a very flexible system that lets you experiment or change your tactics without any real punishment.

The best thing about Skyrim is its freedom.

The game feels like a real living world. You can chose to do what ever you want. Ignore the main quest if you want. There’s plenty of side missions to keep you busy. Or maybe you just feel like exploring the cold mountainous terrain and diving into the caves and ancient Dragar tombs. And if that feels like too much freedom for you, then follow the main story. Whatever you want.

Seriously, if your even remotely interested in fantasy anything… PLAY IT. There is sooo much lore and the “viking like” theme of the Nords is really cool. It’s a lot of game for your money. People literally live this game. It’s one of my favorites ever.

Go play it.
